Now Everyone Can Play Every Game on ROBLOX Mobile

In the time since its launch, we’ve been closely monitoring the app to ensure a good user experience and listening to your feedback. Today, we’re pleased to announce all ROBLOX games are available to all users on ROBLOX Mobile. This should give you a great opportunity to enjoy ROBLOX — whether you’re a Builders Club member or not — during your travels and free time over the upcoming holiday break. You can log into ROBLOX Mobile now and play all of the millions of games you and your fellow users have created. Simply touch the “See More” button under All Games.

ROBLOX Discontinuing Support for Mac OS X 10.5

ROBLOX puts great effort into developing unified code that runs across multiple platforms – PC, Mac and soon iPad – on a wide variety of hardware and software configurations. This summer, as we ratcheted up development efforts for ROBLOX on mobile devices and tablets, we found the software we use to compile our code was only compatible with either Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or mobile devices. We were faced with a tough decision: maintain a separate code base for OS X 10.5 or discontinue support for it.

Help ROBLOX Developers Fine-tune the ROBLOX Player

In the time since its launch, ROBLOX has gone from being compatible with Internet Explorer to five major browsers, including Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera. As part of our ongoing effort to streamline ROBLOX, we recently removed a legacy of single-browser support: the embedded browser in the ROBLOX Player.

This browser occasionally caused problems for users with a default browser other than Internet Explorer and slight confusion as to whether you should browse games in the Player or on Roblox.com. Now, there is a clear distinction between browsing, which takes place in your preferred web browser, and game play, which happens in the ROBLOX Player. We believe a faster, leaner application will benefit ROBLOX users more in the long run than the Player’s web browser.
